About me...

GP/ Family Medicine Doctor

Hello, I am Mary, a dedicated Family Medicine Doctor driven by a deep passion for integrative medicine that blends western and traditional medical practices. My approach to healthcare focuses on the patient, highlighting each individual’s uniqueness and humanity, instead of merely considering their medical condition or diagnosis. Through my own path i came to witness the complexity and diversity of life’s journey. That’s why my commitment lies in providing compassionate and skilled care, ensuring that every individual receives the support and respect they deserve, irrespective of their background. As a human and as a medical professional, i always strive for excellence but also acknowledge my many imperfections and push myself to grow and improve.

"My life’s journey"

A little bit more....

My journey in medicine began with a BA in Medicine from the Medical University of Ioannina, Greece. My professional development includes extensive experience as an ER Doctor at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus and residency roles in Pulmonary Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Family Medicine across Cypriot hospitals.

Recently, i returned from a career break where i embarked on a solo backpacking journey through Central and South America and the Middle East. During this time i gained valuable insights into diverse cultural settings, customs and health systems. This experience has enriched my approach to my fellow sisters, brothers and medicine. It also fuels my commitment to serving diverse communities, as evidenced by my volunteer work with Doctors of the World in Athens, where I applied these insights to provide inclusive and respectful care.

I am passionate about LifeLong Learning and integrating cutting-edge diagnostic technology into healthcare, reflected in my proficiency with Point of care ultrasound techniques and my accreditation in Medical Acupuncture.

Outside my professional life, I believe that prevention is the best medicine and in leading by example. I commute by bike, embracing an eco-friendly lifestyle, and I prioritize a nutritious diet to stay healthy. My long-standing meditation routine keeps me grounded and focused, allowing me to approach each day with more clarity and purpose. During my lunch break you can find me on the beach swimming nearly daily. This holistic approach to life not only enhances my personal well-being but also enables me to provide the best care for my patients.
